🌿 Part 2: The Day I Realized My Childhood Wasn't Normal
"Sometimes the most life-changing moment isn't what happened to us... it's when we finally understand what happened to us."
Coming Soon...
For years, I believed my childhood was simply "the way life was."
I didn't know I was living in trauma because it was all I had ever known. Fear, uncertainty, and instability had become my normal.
Everything changed when I became a mother.
As I watched my own children grow, I found myself asking difficult questions. Why did I want something so different for them? Why did certain memories still hurt? Why did I feel so determined to protect them from experiences I once believed were ordinary?
That was the moment I began to see my childhood through a different lens.
It wasn't just difficult.
It was traumatic.
In Part 2, I'll share the moment that opened my eyes, the emotions that followed, and how recognizing my past became the first step toward true healing.
💜 Reflection
Sometimes healing doesn't begin when life changes.
Sometimes healing begins when our understanding changes.
Recognizing that something wasn't healthy isn't about blaming the past—it's about giving yourself permission to heal from it.
